The beautiful table lamp in the sitting room is made by Sue at Borgh Pottery on the west side of the island. The showroom has a fabulous array of gifts and you can now even get a coffee there!

Gill Thompson (my mother!) creates art inspired by the Hebrides. The painting in the first floor bedroom is one of her originals, as is the illustration on the complimentary postcards.

This beautiful symbol of the building's nautical history can be found in various forms throughout the Sail Loft.

Around the house, you will find various interesting pieces, from local artwork to driftwood.

The Mission House is a stunning church conversion nestled in the bays of Harris. Home to artists Nickolai and Beka, it provides a beautiful exhibition space for Nickolai’s ceramics and Beka’s photographs. The photos in the sitting room are from her Hebridean flower series.

The islands are very proud of the heritage of Harris Tweed. We have accessorised the house with various tweeds, showing off its versatility, beauty and colour.

Local artist, poet and our neighbour, Ian Stephen, has created his own version of the Compass Rose, which hangs in the master bedroom.
